The Baptist Home for Children

Monticello

Children and teens come to live at The Baptist Home for Children in Monticello for many reasons. Some come from homes where they have been abused, where there is serious family conflict or where their parents lack the skills necessary to care for them. The home seeks to provide children and teens a Christ-centered place of safety and security where they can grow physically, emotionally, academically and spiritually.

Most residents are school-aged children and youth. They live in six different family-style homes with their houseparents, attending local public schools and Southern Baptist churches. Many are involved in extracurricular school activities, church activities, and community events.

The Baptist Home receives privately placed children, as well as children placed by the Arkansas Department of Children and Family Services. Other referrals come from churches or concerned friends and family members.
