Secretary
Ms. Marilyn Bostian
I was raised in the Air Force. When my twin sister, Carolyn, and I were 11 we moved to Germany and lived there for 3 years. Our Champlain was a Baptist Pastor; he had a son our age (13). We took a class on salvation, prayed the sinners’ prayer, and was baptized in a German church. My membership was sent to Enon Baptist Church, Monticello. After returning to United Stated, my father retired and we moved to Monticello where he was raisedand my grandparents lived.
I am a charter member of Calvary Baptist church. I never doubted my salvation until November 3, 2004, at First Baptist Church, Monticello at a revival. I realized I was lost and gave heart and life to Jesus and was baptized at Calvary.
I married Quentin (Jr.) and have been married over 60 years. We have two daughters. Our oldest daughter and her husband live in Northwest Arkansas and have four daughters. Our youngest daughter lives in Washington. Our granddaughters have blessed us with seven great grandchildren and number eight is due November 2026.
March 2006 I was asked to take the secretary position that was vacant. I agreed to try even though I told them I was not qualified, because I did not know how to use a computer or Microsoft Office. With God’s Grace and the love and support of my church family I learned. I am very blessed to have a loving and caring church family.
2 Corinthians 12:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
